coaching

Coaching is:

the process of discovery or confirmation of your dreams and desires

the understanding of what stops you achieving them, of being who you want to be; and the way to move from where you are to where you want to be.

Its worth reading that paragraph again, carefully, because it does say it all. You may be overwhelmed by your problems right now, and didn't connect with the words because they talk about dreams and desires. If you feel you are just stuck, or beset by problems and confusion, the relevant part is 'the understanding of what stops you achieving'. Later on the dreams and desires will be important.

It's unlikely that your wildest dreams will be realised, but you can take big steps forward and live a happier life. Its not a long term process either. I expect to start to see good results after a few sessions, and sometimes just one works wonders. The year-long processes counsellors indulge in I don't support myself: two or three sessions, six at the very most will get you out there achieving and sorting things out for yourself. I sometimes work with longer term issues, such as overcoming ongoing problems with illness or a difficult relationship, where continued support works, but for most, expect fast results.

I bring to my work a complete lack of embarrassment over intimate issues, an openness that makes talking over very personal problems easy, with no judgment and no imposed moral values. You will find it easy to discover and explore yourself, to accept pushes and challenges from me about your attitudes and beliefs. And in the end its you who will do the work, not me. It goes beyond the session, into your life, into your way of thinking.
